Creative director Sandra Choi took a no holds barred approach with the debut of the 2016 Spring/Summer Jimmy Choo men's collection. Both the collection and the showcase took a massive leap away from the traditional formal footwear for which the brand is most recognized in a casual and comfortable direction that still boasts a certain quality and elitism.
"The man of today -- the man I see on the street -- is a liberated man of action," said Choi. "He’s a gentleman of our time who is clued-up about the codes of the past, but is by no means bound by them."
With the rise of street-style, informally known in some communities as the "sneaker revolution," Choi's ideas are sure to refresh the brand for the modern man whose priorities are equal parts divided between style and comfort. The showcase recruited internationally recognized skateboarders and BMX riders such as Zac Miller, Mark Webb and Alex Coleborn to perform sporty stunts in a traditional gentleman's sporting club while wearing the band new line of freedom footwear.
The Jimmy Choo Men's Collection is one of several high fashion brands to adopt this generation's sporty influence in a powerful showcase that says "we see you" to the men of today.
