Former model Padma Lakshmi, who is also a cookbook author and a judge on Bravo’s "Top Chef," isn’t used to doing wholesome ad campaigns – or taking pictures with clothes on for that matter.
Padma’s new ad for her collection of fine jewelry follows on the heels of her sexy – not to mention, juicy – Hardee’s Western Thickburger commercial and some seductive nude photos in Allure this past spring. The ad was shot by Steven Meisel and shows her modeling the baubles without so much as a stitch of clothing.
The delicate gold and gemstone pieces in her collection, titled "Padma," are inspired by foods like lentils and cardamom pods. While they do look beautiful in the photo, we really have to admit that it’s Padma’s toned and glistening body that keeps our eyes glued to the ad.
Well done, Padma, on proving once again that sex sells.
