The Jewel Box Resembles the Gems it is Home To

The Jewel Box is, quite appropriately, the home of a precious stones retail company. Although not necessarily inspired by the shape and function of a real jewelry box, this stunningly abstract piece of architecture does bring to mind the faceted features of these gems and jewels.

Designed by SDeG, the Jewel Box is located in Bangalore, India. Inspired by the geometry of crystals, this structure has a raw and fractured beauty that is captured in its beveled surface. The mismatched window shapes also give the sense that nothing is perfect and everything is unique. As with each cut of a diamond or emerald, the Jewel Box boasts a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that sets it apart from other jewelry stores.
