Sleek and minimal, the rocking horse created by Danish designer Jeppe Worsoe Andersen is inspired by fellow Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm’s famed PK-0 chair. Made out of the same dark, form-bent cherry wood, which makes up the body, and polished steel for the base, the shape might be completely different, but the essence is there. In place of the curving backrest, dipped seat and sharply angled legs, Jeppe Worsoe Andersen appropriately created the silhouette of a horse.
Jeppe Worsoe Andersen's sculptural and modern design is perfect for the contemporary home. More like an art piece than a toy, parents will appreciate that the design doesn't take away from the decor of their home while children will revel in its functional properties. Overall, Jeppe Worsoe Andersen's design pleases on many different levels.
