Once again designer Jean Paul Gaultier finishes his show with a bang by choosing Austrian singer Conchita Wurst for his Jean Paul Gualtier Fall 2014 couture line.
For couture spring 2014, Gaultier finished his burlesque butterfly show with the sultry Dita Von Teese. But Wurst’s finale was much more rich—he wore a gothic bridal gown with a patent red waist-cinching belt and a black veil.
The Jean Paul Gualtier Fall 2014 collection left the butterfly realm behind and delved into a hauntingly ghoulish haute couture look. Night prowling vampires took over the catwalk in the recent Paris runway show dressed in body-con leather and well-tailored suits. The collection boasts Victorian lace, black jumpsuits, gold chains, slouchy couture joggers paired with equally slouchy off-shoulder sweatshirts and winged angelic-like creations that juxtaposed the other dark, vampiric numbers in the line-up.
