The National Jazz Museum and Book Works Launching Tee Collection

Harlem’s National Jazz Museum and New York-based Book Works have collaborated on a jazz-inspired apparel collection that features photo t-shirts. The apparel collection will have three jazz singers: Billie Holiday, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie "Yardbird" Parker. Jazz photographer William P. Gottlieb took each photo.

The jazz-inspired apparel collection consists of archival t-shirts and a crewneck sweatshirt. The colors featured in the collection are pink, gray, dark gray, and others. Each t-shirt highlights one of William P. Gottlieb’s photos front and center on the chest, and a small co-branded National Jazz Museum/Book Work label is placed on the upper back. One of the standout items is the Billie Holiday shirt, which displays Lady Day with her dog named Mister. The apparel collection will be available on March 15.
