The Amsterdam-based industrial designer Jan Gunneweg has two passions, design and wood, which he wonderfully combines in his impressive creations. One of them is the wooden-framed bicycle, which according to him, is one smooth, chic ride. Although this is not his first wooden bike, this is certainly an improvement from his previous ones.
What is amazing about his latest design is that pretty much everything is made out of solid walnut wood: the spoke, the seat, the handles and frame. It's so well-manufactured that it's difficult to notice the necessary metal additions. Visually, the bike is astonishingly beautiful thanks to its gorgeous color and ergonomic design. This eco-friendly ride will sure attract great deal of attention when it becomes on sale later this month.
Jan Gunneweg is a wood fanatic, and some of his other creations include sunglasses, wheelchairs, poker tables and furniture.
