Thornley Kelham, an award-winning British auto restoration company, has unveiled an all-new take on the Jaguar's XK, designed by the brand's Restomod division, which is led by McLaren P1 and 720S designer Paul Howse.
The new Jaguar model arrives with a hand-formed aluminum body, which works to produce a unique all-chrome aesthetic that evokes the imagery of retro-futurism.
"The idea of improving or modifying any iconic design is one that must be approached with great care," said Howse. "One has to be very respectful for what was originally designed in a very different time using very different tools. My vision was to meld the latest state-of-the-art Automotive Design techniques with time-honored craftsmanship – to create ‘purposeful beauty.’"
In addition to its aesthetic updates, the Jaguar XK features a major engine upgrade; here, the vehicle is equipped with a re-engineered 3.8-liter XK engine that is capable of producing 340hp.
