Since the Porsche 911 police car there hasn’t been a high end luxury vehicle of the law--until now. Jaguar has released a new UK police car based on the original XF Diesel S model.
The new cop car is upgraded with a flashy paint job, standard police lights and improved interior technology.
The car will keep the standard XF 3.0L V6 diesel engine, 271hp and 440lb-ft of torque.
Geoff Cousins, UK Managing Director for Jaguar Cars, stated in reference to the possibility of UK police forces mass purchasing the XF that, "Police forces are looking for vehicles that represent value for money, have good environmental credentials and deliver the power and performance required of a pursuit vehicle."
Prices on the police version of the XF have yet to be discussed, but at 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds it seems hard to resist.
