Italian Cinema Theme Parks

Cinecitta World Allows Visitors to Become a Part of a Fake Movie Set

An Italian cinema theme park, Cinecitta World, recently opened up just outside of Rome to the delight of locals and travelers alike. Offering another reason to stay longer in the capital, Luigi Abete, president of the Italian Entertainment Group states, "The average tourist spends five days in Paris but two and a half days in Rome. After they opened the Disney theme park outside Paris, the average stay went up."

Providing a sense of illusion, the Italian cinema theme park treats visitors to become a star for the day on a fake movie set. Inspired by movies that were filmed at the Cinecittá Studios, which is still in operation, people will be treated to submarine sets, Westerns and more. Of course, there will be roller coasters.
