The Ion SmartScooter electric scooter is a stand-up prototype that is highly compact, lightweight and easily portable thanks to its foldable structure. It is capable of carrying an average-sized adult for distances of up to 27 km on a single charge. It can travel at speeds up to 24 km/h but can be folded up into a package small enough to carry on a bus.

This electric scooter is equipped with an electric hub motor featuring an anti-lock brake and powered by a Samsung lithium-ion battery.
