The La Nogentaise is a meca-quartz that uses a Seiko VK68 movement and is an excellent compromise between a mechanical and a quartz caliber. This meca-quartz movement is used by many brands, including the luxury TSAR BOMBA, making chronograph watches affordable.
A meca-quartz movement is a hybrid that combines two distinct mechanisms: in a meca-quartz chronograph, the timekeeping functions are controlled by a quartz movement, while the stopwatch functions are recorded by a mechanical module.
The watch is made of 316L stainless steel and measures 42 mm in diameter and 11.5 mm thick. The 8-sided bezel brings dimension to the watch as it integrates into the middle of the timepiece and is perfectly executed. A signed crown allows the user to set the time and date, whilst two push buttons for use of the chronograph complete the case.
La Nogentaise is the brand’s first product, and it is available for pre-order now on Kickstarter, with expected delivery by March 2023. Kickstarter backers will also receive a black rubber and genuine leather, plus the watch is delivered in a traditional wooden box.
