Scarf-Encircled Editorials

The Interview A New Beauty August 2014 Photoshoot is Wrapped in Fabric

The Interview Magazine August 2014 A New Beauty editorial offers an extremely conservative look at models Julia Bergshoeff, Manuela Frey, Alisa Ahmann and Josephine Le Tortour. In each shot taken by photographer Craig McDean, the women were entirely covered from the neck down with oversize shawls and thick pillow-like scarves.

Fashion editor Karl Templer stuck to warm, fall themes via each ensemble. The scarves were paired with knit tights and oxford shoes, items that provide a look ahead at the Fall 2014 season. McDean added to these warm notes with black and white images, doing away with pops of color that are often seen in summertime photoshoots. Nonetheless, knit bodysuits sent the production through a loop, providing a nod to beach looks.
