Materica Presents the INTERNA_MENTE Installation in Alcova

Veneto-based design studio Materica presents its new INTERNA_MENTE installation during Milan Design Week this year. Notably, it is also the most visited installation in Alcova, captivated by its wire metallization of mirrored surfaces that turns the space into a hallway of reflective detail. It is meant to invite visitors to reflect, listen, and self-reflect upon themselves.

Materica lines the space with recycled MDF sheets that are metalized in order to create a reflective surface that is then treated with oxidation and coloration processes. Due to this, every single surface in the room is able to reflect light. The floors and ceilings are detailed with three-dimensional golden faces that seem to be pushing through the surfaces.
