Shooting Victim Posters

Innocent Targets Reveals the Real Victims of Gun Violence

For his latest project'Innocent Targets,' graphic artist and designer Anthony Burrill tackles America's lax gun laws and the violence that results because of them.

Burrill has created a series of shooting range posters that represent the innocent victims who lost their lives in gun-related accidents and crimes. Though the typical shooting range poster features a thug or zombie, Burrill explains, "The painfully ironic truth is that the real targets of gun violence aren't these fictional 'bad guys' but rather our real-life friends, neighbors, co-workers and children."

Each image -- which features a friendly, smiling face that could easily belong to a neighbor or co-worker -- is accompanied by a startling fact. For instance, did you know that 20 US states allow guns inside of churches? Or that there are more gun dealerships than pizzerias in America? The proceeds from each eye-opening poster go towards the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
