Inked Dedications to Wild Animals for Extreme Nature Lovers

As the song goes, "Wild Thing, you make my heart sing." Well, in these ten instances, Wild Thing means a tattoo which will be inked onto you for the rest of your life. Wild animals are indeed a random category, as in theory you can’t get close to such exotic creatures so as to form a bond with them. Why would you want a tattoo of an animal that would happily eat you, and your tattoo, alive? With that in mind, all of these seem to appear mainly on men. Can anyone explain why?
