Infinyte, a Canadian company, is aiming to make waterways cleaner and greener with the new Infinyte i4. The Infinyte i4 is a five-person catamaran powered by an on-board electric engine. The electric engine of the Infinyte i4 has an estimated run time of 10 hours and a top speed of eight miles-per-hour.
The Infinyte i4 also features a lightweight design, measuring 14-feet and weighing in at only 710 lbs; which Infinyte claims is light enough to be towed by almost car. Infinyte is banking on the success of the i4 to help propel the launch of their much larger i8, a pontoon boat with rooftop solar panels designed to seat 25. As of now the Infinyte i4 is selling for $13,000. $13,000 isn't exactly chump change, but can you really put a price on cleaner recreational waterways?
