Although the traditional, everyday stool may use a simple design, there's no denying that while this easily mobile, four-legged perch may be a convenient household accessory, actually sitting on any stool for a prolonged period of time can be tiring and a bit painful. Luckily, British design company Industrial Facility's new Radice stool shows that people are picking up on the short comings of this age-old seating unit.
Made for Italian design firm Mattiazzi, Industrial Facility's Radice stool sees this company combining the mobility and visual appeal of a traditional stool with alternative, four-legged seating.
Coming in a wide variety of bright and vibrant colors, Industrial Facility's concept with the Radice was to fashion a chair that is "structurally digrammatic," while also "comfortable visually and physically because of how this third leg supports the seat," according to its site.
