The conceptual 'Aeroponics' indoor garden system has been designed by Sebastian Weigand as a furniture-inspired solution for the home that would provide inhabitants with the ability to grow their own fresh produce.
The system maintains a vertical construction that calls to mind the traditional bookcase, but is paired with a series of pod sections for placing plants for cultivating. This eliminates the need for soil to drastically save space where conventional painters would otherwise take up too much area.
The conceptual 'Aeroponics' indoor garden system was explained further by Weigand who said, "Growing [plants] at home also grows consciousness. The design goal was to bring the existing aeroponic gardening system into everybody’s home in order to raise awareness of our food."
