While most of the fashion world is fixated on Paris Fashion Week, I'm still reminiscing about the September shows in New York.
Specifically, I'm loving Ralph Lauren's Spring 2009 collection.
Ralph Lauren paired accessories like chocolate brown fedoras with glitter gold harem pants and khaki shirts, or shiny bronze track jackets with beige micro safari shorts. Later in the show the inspiration was much more middle eastern, featuring items like gold turbans with long, shiny tails and wild white head bundles fit for an Arabic knight.
Ralph Lauren's inspiration for the collection was said to have came from North Africa, although I think it could be likened more to a glammed up adventurer look. Indiana Jane I'll call it.
