The London Design Festival will soon feature British designer Lee Broom’s new Rough Diamond collection of illuminated chairs. His work will be on show at the Brick Lane Gallery.
What Lee Broom has done is to add lighting to vintage chairs to bring back their original glamor. A traditional Chesterfield chair, the "Club Chair," is adorned with fairground jewel lights. He also used strip LED lights for his "Bright on Bristro," an old bentwood chair he found in a tea house in Brighton, England. His other renderings include "Baby Bright on Bistro" and "Luminaire Berger."
His "Corner Girl," however, looks like it is meant to be an art piece rather than a seating option.
