American software company IdeaNova has launched 'WeWatch,' a new Inplay feature that allows airline passengers to watch movies or shows together while in flight. The new feature will even let customers check out what other passengers are watching and communicate via a unique chat system.
The aim of 'WeWatch' is to keep passengers feeling connected, even if they are unable to sit together. In addition, it adds a new social dynamic to the experience of catching a flight as passengers will be able to sync up and chat with one another while in the air.
"Our new feature, WeWatch allows for synchronized group viewing and a heightened film sharing experience," explains Janne Pelkonen, the CTO of IdeaNova.
