Volkswagen Group has unveiled the concept images for the 'ID.AERO,' the brand’s first all-electric sedan. The physical reproduction of the 'ID.AERO' blueprint will be produced for the Chinese market in late 2023, but no price has been confirmed. The sedan can drive up to 385 miles in a single tank based on the European WLTP test.
The 'ID.AERO' is marketed towards young, first-time automobile buyers who make up China’s fastest-growing sector. The coupe-style sedan has a vast body and drag coefficient of .23. Luxury additions include luxe headlights, LED taillight clusters, and a glossy black roof to appeal to market trends that desire luxury car models.
"The ID.AERO belongs to the high-volume, mid-size sedan segment," Dr. Stephan Wöllenstein, CEO of Volkswagen China Passenger Cars Brand, stated. "The concept has a progressive, stylish and aerodynamic design, yet doesn’t compromise on roominess."
