Hyundai annouced its company's newest endeavor in sustainability - and it's all about hydrogen. The company's new strategy is called Hydrogen Vision 2040. It will feature the next generation of fuel cell technology through a series of trucks, trailer drones, and 650 horsepower hybrid fuel-cell sports cars.
The company has partnered with Rimac, an electric hypercar technology firm, to make this new ambition possible. Among the three upcoming hydrogen-fuelled vehicles is the fuel cell Trailer Zone. This new system will operate completely autonomously and has the power to transform the container transportation industry. The Trailer Zone will have the power to travel up to 1,000 km on a singular tank of H2. It will be equipped with sensors and computers to ensure its autonomous driving is safe and well-executed.
