ZeroAvia is a company that is dedicated to creating hydrogen-powered planes. The company states that its hydrogen-powered planes will not only produce zero emissions while flying but that they will also have lower production costs than conventional fossil fuel aircrafts.
ZeroAvia has obtained permission from the FAA to operate its prototype aircraft previously this year. Since ZeroAvia obtained permission, it has been undergoing a series of test flights. The company is attempting to pinpoint the aircraft's fuel economy, as well as power.
The company will be looking to produce smaller aircraft that can seat anywhere form 10-20 people to complete flights under 500 miles. Successful test flights have been completed in the company's PiperM-class airframe. The ZeroAvia prototype is, at this time, the largest zero-emissions plane in the world.
