The Parrot Minidrone Hydrofoil drone is the latest offering from Parrot, the French company that has gained much acclaim among drone enthusiasts for coming up with drones that can roll and jump along the ground and fly through the air. This is the first Parrot drone that is designed to be comfortable around water.
This drone when fired up can work as a small fan boat. Rather than directly shooting straight up into the air, it pivots to adopt a perpendicular position. As it gains speed, its hull emerges from the water.
This unique configuration allows the Hydrofoil drone to hit a top speed of 10 km/h and to execute sharp turns without falling over. That it can be controlled via Bluetooth further adds to its convenience.
