The Hydro Kultur Nios (a prototype hydrogen-fueled car) is a collaborative design by a team of students and professors from three leading German Universities. The car is designed for two people and features a stylish interior with ample space for luggage and personal belongings.
The Hydro Kultur Nios is based on a wooden frame which gives an oval shape around the passenger compartment. The wooden frame also provides protection to the passengers. The car is powered by an advanced hydrogen cell system developed at the Technical University of Chemnitz, which gives a maximum speed of more than 300 miles on a single liter of fuel.
The Hydro Kultur Nios also won the Autodesk Design Award of 2010 Shell Eco Marathon for its outstanding design.
