British automaker Land Rover is launching a brand new plug-in hybrid car, dubbed the Range Rover Sport PHEV, that continues the transformation of the Range Rover Sport into an eco-friendly vehicle rather than a gas-guzzling giant.
The Range Rover Sport PHEV comes fitted with a lithium-ion battery that works in conjunction with a four-cylinder engine, with the entire powertrain setup allowing for a total output of 400 horsepower, allowing this vehicle to spring along from zero to 100 km/h in only 6.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 220 km/h. Elsewhere, this hybrid car also allows for a blend of electric and gasoline motoring depending on the driving situation.
Offering high-powered performance and powertrain flexibility, this hybrid car proves that speed and eco-friendly engineering do not have to be mutually exclusive.
