One major change to the HX99G when compared to its predecessors, such as the HX90 or the UM690, is the addition of a discrete graphics card, as these previous mini PCs relied on integrated graphics chips.
The HX99G is powered by the Ryzen 9 6900HX, which boasts 8 cores and 16 threads clocked up to 4.9 Ghz. Users still have access to the iGPU on this card, the Radeon 680M, but Minisforum also included a mobile GPU from AMD titled the RX 6600M, which is a mid-range GPU that runs at a base clock of 2060 Mhz and a boost clock of 2416 Mhz.
In terms of I/O, the HX99G includes two USB-4 ports, two HDMI ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as ethernet, audio, and headphone jacks.
