GMC’s ‘Hummer EV’ is the brand’s newest e-bike designed to appeal to maximalists worldwide. The press release for the ‘Hummer EV’ all-wheel drive e-bike mentions dual 750W hub motors with a maximum output of 2,400W and a 48-volt/17 amp-hour LG battery. Consumers are also given the option to upgrade to a 21Ah version of the bike for additional riding time. GMC will not manufacture the e-bike itself but will license the Hummer brand to Recon instead.
"We are honored to partner with GMC on this unique world-class AWD Ebike that parallels HUMMER EV’s unrivaled reputation as the leader in EV off-road adventure," Jeff Fuze, president of Recon, said in a statement.
The bike will include twin Bafang motors, four-piston hydraulic brakes, and gearing supplied by Shimano that makes the front suspension adjustable. Three drive modes are available depending on how the bike is being used.
