Motion-Sensing Smartphones

The HTC Legend Performs Every Task at the Wave of a Finger

Just released in the last few days, the HTC Legend and the HTC Desire, its sister phone, join a long lineup of touchscreen mobiles. This one, though, has one pretty cool feature that separates it from the rest.

The HTC Legend and Desire feature an optical trackball that is similar in look to that of the Blackberry, but it instead allows the user to scan through icons and apps by simply waving their finger over the sensor.

The HTC Legend may not represent a huge breakthrough in mobile technology but it may just have enough of an edge to be a serious contender for its bigger competitors.
