Clothing lines by rappers are very common with the likes of Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, The Clipse and P. Diddy (amongst dozens others), making strides in previous years, and Queens rapper NaS has finally added his name to the list with his line HSTRY.
HSTRY is also a collaboration project with menswear blogger Grungy Gentleman; unlike other rapper lines, HSTRY focuses exclusively on "street luxury" pieces. Nas stays true to his street persona, while presenting a line that is not only fashion-forward, but reflective of his lifestyle and fashion choices now. These Japanese-sourced pieces include flannel shirts with patches, Italian lambskin bomber jackets and face masks.
With regard to prices, HSTRY is considered street luxury because you're looking at $600 for a hoodie, $1,500 for a bomber jacket and close to $900 for an all-leather shirt. These pieces are available online now.
