Pop Art-Wrapped Hotels

Hotel Arc del Teatre Has a Vibrant Facade that Projects a Distinct Image

Hotel Arc del Teatre, designed by EQUIP Xavier Claramunt, stands out from the gamut of hotels that exist with its giant wrap used to completely cover its facade. The current version of the hotel was the result of a major reconstruction -- to the point that the hotel is now an sustainable wonder (it received a Gold LEED certification).

The wrap around the Hotel Arc del Teatre was implemented so that the hotel would have a slightly different face throughout the day as a result of the sun's reflection. What I personally like about the hotel's facade is the comic book-style characters that are the hotel staff.

The Hotel Arc del Teatre uses an unconventional idea to set itself apart from the crowd.
