One day during the brutally cold, drawn-out winter in the Great White North, I came to the realization that my home thermostat was out of date. When it was delivered, I tore through the packaging quicker than a kid on Christmas. I was so excited to finally have a piece of technology that allows me to control my home's temperature from afar. The two things I love most about this thermostat is that I can control it remotely from my phone or laptop and that its screen is large enough to display a ton of useful information. Its sleek design made me assume the thermostat would be super high-tech and difficult to use, but the Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat is easy to get the hang of since its interface looks so similar to typical digital thermostats. On the other hand, the only setback I encountered was the installation process. Even though I consider myself to be an above-average handyman, I found it a tad difficult to install. Then again, my electrical wiring knowledge isn't what I thought it to be. Thankfully, there were many instructional videos to help guide me through the process.

All in all, I'd say the Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat is the best home upgrade I've made in a long time. The ease of remotely controlling my home's temperature is something I'd never thought was possible. And since I'm very finicky when it comes to ideal room temperatures, being able to adjust my own via a mobile app is beyond delightful.
