Motion-Based Gaming

Honda Uses Sudden Motion Sensor on Macbooks

Apple's motion-based hardware is opening the door for innovative and creative controls that promise more fun realistic gaming.

Honda is working on an interactive game Honda Motorcycles that utilizes Sudden Motion Sensor (SMS) techonology with Apple's motion-based hardware - and a data-protection system that is used in Apple's notebook computer systems that lets you control the game by holding and moving your Apple notebook (and maybe, iPhone and iPod Touch!).

Developer and art director Raul Arantes says, "With XCode and Quartz Composer we can access the sensor's data and create a different way to interact with a game. Pretty interesting for a stores and events."

Check out the video here of the Beta version. Final version should be out in the near future.
