It has been reported that Amazon is continuing development on its home robot, which is an Alexa device on wheels. The project is titled 'Vesta,' which is named after the Roman goddess of the home. The initial plan was for the home robot to be released this year, however, the project is not entirely ready for consumers. Since then it was reported that Amazon will be putting more resources into the project, in order to get it ready for a consumer release.
Prototypes of Vesta approximately go up to a person's waist and navigate using computer vision produced by a sensor. Powered by Alexa, the robot is able to come when it is called. It is also able to place calls, start timers and play music.
