Holiday Gift Swap Events

Toronto's Holiday Gift Swap is a Sustainable Way to Give This Christmas

In an effort to reduce consumption behavior in consumers this holiday season, Toronto Tool Library partnered with the Centre for Social Innovation to launch its seventh annual Holiday Gift swap event. The event offers a free and sustainable alternative to shopping for holiday presents as well as free workshops by Tiny Toy Space to upcycles toys into magnets.

The rules of the Holiday Gift Swap are simple. Bring in items that you no longer need (provided they are in good condition) and swap them for new-to-you holiday gifts. For example, books, toys, houseware, and more. All items are deemed to be of equal value, and once you present your items upon entering, you will receive tickets you can exchange for items.
