The 'Highness' Photo Series Combines Fashion and Tribal Elements

Photographer Delphine Diaw Diallo released a new series of photographs entitled 'Highness' Photo Series, and these photos of women wearing elaborate woven masks are truly something to see.

The Highness Photo Series is a collection of female models all wearing extremely thought-out head pieces. These masks are created out of what looks to be a large amount of braided hair. The hair is then formed into protective masks that cover the entire face; some even tower high up past the top of the model's head.

Delphine, a graduate of the Académie Charpentier School of Visual Art in Paris, collaborated with artists Tresse Agoche, Soull Ogun and Dynasty Presh to create the Highness Photo Series. She claims, "It is a vision of a new era which gives birth to an evolved future where the audience experiences the gift that is woman."
