Relaxing Olfactory Appliances

The 'Hieko' Lightens Your Mood by Charming Your Senses

The 'Hieko' appliance has been designed with relaxation and tranquility in mind to ensure that you never have to feel unnecessarily stressed out. Created with a cracked aesthetic, the piece mimics the practice of Kintsugi, which is the Japanese art of repairing pottery that has been broken with gold to highlight the cracks. This is used to help further remind the user that stresses can be managed and that there is a certain beauty in the problems that we might face.

The conceptual 'Hieko' features a holographic system along with 3D surround sound and a fragrance diffuser, which all work together to relax the user when required. The unit is the design work of Ashik K and Chetan Patil.
