Mechanical keyboards often trade slim designs for tactile features but the Hexgears X-1 manages to keep the low-profile design of wireless keyboards without sacrificing the responsiveness of a fully mechanical keyboard. Taking advantage of Kaihua Choc switches, the Hexgears X-1 manage to strike an incredibly slim profile unseen in most mechanical keyboards. The switches themselves are reminiscent of classic Cherry MX Blues, which are known for their responsive feel with adequate resistance.
The keyboard is comprised of a CNC machined body made of aircraft grade aluminum. The entire keyboard is RGB lit and features wired connection, via USB type-C, and wireless connection through Bluetooth. The Hexgears X-1 draws wireless power through a 1,000 mAh rechargeable battery that is charged via the USB type-C port.
