The unique Herringbone table is designed by Alexandre Caldas and it is inspired by the shape of the herringbone tree with a dynamic blend of wood and glass. Caldas translates the skeletal visual of the tree to furniture designs as the table reflects that with the use of natural wood and recyclable glass.
The designer explains that "[The table was made’ using certified solid wood, using the least amount of glue possible, using one of the world’s most recycled resources (glass), along with the know-how of master craftsmen with traditional woodworking techniques." There are two ends that support the plate of glass, which functions as the table's surface and the ribs are under to hold it all up.
