Smart Rust-Colored Ensembles

Hermes Spring 2012 Collection Plays on Variations of Orange

Colors that seem more typical of the fall time were the basis of the Hermes Spring 2012 show, which displayed at Paris Fashion Week today.

The collection included variations of orange, from darker copper and light rust hues to bold tangerine colors. Along with the Halloween-esque color range, the Hermes Spring 2012 collection also included periods of white, beige and black. The styles were part-time boho but full-time sophisticate, featuring everything from polished double-breasted blazers and straight shifts to headscarves, voluminous skirts, pleated tunics and boxy, mandarin-collar jackets. Harem pants were also part of the mix, as was an interesting robot-printed long-sleeved dress and matching head scarf.

Chic, with a retro twist, the Hermes Spring 2012 collection, presented by the newly installed designer Christophe Lemaire, was chock-full of spring-worthy styles that could also work well into the fall season.
