The latest installment of Helmut Lang's Artist Series features the work of the esteemed photographer Boris Mikhailov. The collection features three collages form the artist's "Look At Me I Look At Water" series, which was captured in the 1990's and published in 2004.
The collages, which have been printed onto white T-Shirts carry themes of social and political unrest, focusing dominantly on a sense of desperation and deprivation, which the artist studied throughout the majority of his practice. The shirts blur the line between explicitness and appropriateness, serving as a bold statement piece for the high-fashion wearer.
Boris Mikhailov’s Artist Series is now available through Helmut Lang, alongside a limited-edition of signed posters, which will be retailed through the brand's Instagram.
