The Helios Bluetooth Headphones are Powered By Solar Energy

The Helios Bluetooth headphones are the creation of London-based startup Exod. These headphones do not require a cable as they are powered by solar energy by virtue of an embedded photovoltaic panel. The panel is built into the headband of the headphones. Each hour of exposure to natural sunlight provides the headphones with enough power for about half an hour of listening.

However, if sunlight is in short supply, the headphones' battery can be topped up via a Micro USB charging cable plugged into a regular AC outlet. Fully charged, the headphones provide 15 hours of high quality listening time.

The Helios Bluetooth headphones are the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, with early pledges of $157 getting you set up with a pair if and when the campaign is successful.
