The COVID-19 pandemic has left vulnerable populations like seniors unable to get out of the house to pick up supplies in a safe manner, so the H-E-B Senior Support initiative has been started by the grocer to help offer support.
The program has been launched in partnership with Favor Delivery and will offer seniors with a low-cost way of having essential food and/or supplies delivered to them. Those 60 and older can simply call in to speak with personal shoppers to let them know what they'd like to receive from a curated list of products that are available from the grocer.
H-E-B COO Martin Otto spoke on the H-E-B Senior Support initiative saying, "We heard from our customers loud and clear, and we’re ready to offer one of the safest, healthiest solutions in the marketplace dedicated to seniors who are worried about going out in public. Together with Favor, H-E-B is committed to helping Texans get the products they need while slowing the spread of coronavirus in our communities."
