The Sunwin Bus Corporation recently launched a 'Healthcare Bus,' which features biometric and thermal imaging capabilities. The Healthcare Bus can slow the spread of illnesses using a biometric and thermal imaging unit located next to the payment machine. The screening unit is non-contact and can detect if passengers are wearing a mask or not. The bus also relies on UV lights, located in air ducts, that work to sterilize the bus for passengers. The UV lights are able to eliminate 99% of infections, and it can sterilize an environment in 20 minutes.
WeiFeng Kan, the Sunwin Chief Engineer spoke about the Healthcare Bus, "With a focus on using innovative technical solutions to create social value, Sunwin is dedicated to upholding public safety. Through utilizing facial recognition, smart-temperature reading, UV lighting and an automatic gas detection system, we have launched the ‘Healthcare Bus’ solution to ensure passenger safety in a non-invasive way."
