The Happy Eggs packaging design may have many practical benefits, which will be addressed momentarily, but overall it is a fun homage to where its wares originate from. As though replicating the nest that they would still be resting in if they weren't plucked from their mothers, the Happy Eggs carton is made out of hay.
Designed by Maja Szczypek, a product and communication design student based in Warsaw, Poland, the Happy Eggs carton promotes sustainability in production, as well as the use of organic materials. As written on the designer's Behance page, "The hay drawpiece is cheap and easy in production. It is made with heateded press, out of widely available material." Complete with colorful and informative tags, the Happy Eggs carton will appeal to many for a few different reasons.
