Instead of using an outlet to charge your devices, you can now use butane with a handheld charger called Nectar. Nectar is a pocket-sized gadget that provides over two weeks worth of power through a USB port. All of this is done using a powerful fuel cell that was built to significantly outlast lithium batteries.
Nectar was developed by Lilliputian Systems Inc. in order to free people to use their devices wherever they want. Since traditional batteries usually don't last very long, having a long-lasting solution is a godsend for travelers and those who don't have easy access to electricity.
The Nectar can currently be pre-ordered for the hefty price of $300. The accompanying butane cells cost $10 a piece. For two weeks worth of untethered of power, the large fixed and variable costs may be worth it.
