Hail-Fighting Car Covers

The Hail Protector Keeps Your Ride Safe During Ice Storms

Auto owners no longer have to fear hail storms now that the Hail Protector is in existence. This ingenious airbag is designed to protect your car from hail as large as softballs. It was invented by Michael Sicilliano of Gunter, Texas. The Hail Protector works in conjunction with a weather-tracking app.

The app will notify you between 30 and 60 minutes before a hailstorm is set to hit. Once you know the storm is coming, you can activate the Hail Protector using a remote. Four blowers powered by an air compressor inflate the airbag. The compressor can be powered by either AA batteries, an outlet or your car's cigarette lighter. When the cover is not deflecting hail it can be used as a conventional car cover.
