Habibeh Madjdabadi Creates Symbolic Hand Designs

Iranian architect Habibeh Madjdabadi has created 2 designs for a recent designboom competition, The Intelligent Hand. Both of Madjdabadi’s projects represent the hands of Iranian protesters; those who vote in protest and those who rally for democracy using the symbolic color green. The juxtaposition of fire and metal in the sculptural pieces might be representative of passion and determination.

Madjdabadi’s hand designs were among the 150 finalists in a competition sponsored by the Italian company, MACEF.
